The topic of Alzheimer Europe’s 29th conference was “Making Valuable Connections”. The work packages bringing the EU-funded joint action, Act on Dementia, to a conclusion certainly made the most of these connections with over 950 attendees at this year’s event.
One of 87 speakers at the conference, Geoff Huggins, leader of the Co-ordination work package (WP1), kicked off Thursday’s events by delivering the first keynote of the day (PL1.1). The subject was Improving the diagnosis, post-diagnostic support, care and inclusion of people with dementia. Geoff proudly presented some of the findings from the Act on Dementia joint action work, a collaboration to improve the lives of people with dementia and their carers.
