On 3 and 4 March 2016, the EU Joint Action Dem2, (to become known as ‘Act on Dementia’) kicked off in Luxembourg. Representatives of all the partner organisations met to plan how they would work together, and how different work packages might collaborate on areas of common interest.
On 6 and 7 July 2016, the EU Joint Action ‘Act on Dementia’ met in Edinburgh for 2 days, to develop work plans and share updates on early progress. There was a focus on ‘improvement’ with sessions led by Scottish colleagues from Healthcare Improvement Scotland who lead the Promoting Excellence Focus on dementia programme in Scotland.
On 7 and 8 September 2017, the Joint Action held the third Programme Board meeting at the Hospices Civils de Lyon, Hôpital des Charpennes, Lyon, hosted by work package 4 (Diagnosis and Post Diagnostic support) and where delegates were also introduced by Professor Krolak-Salmon to the hospital’s therapy dog.
