This work package is responsible for ensuring that people and organisations providing institutional or statutory care for people with dementia and officials and politicians within EU Member States who have the responsibility for health and social care services know about the Joint Action; and to ensure that the learning from the Joint Action is shared widely so that people living with dementia and the people who care for them benefit from improved services.

Work Package Leader - Gillian Barclay

Joined the dementia policy team in Scottish Government in 2015.  An analyst by background, Gillian began her career in the Scottish Government in 2000, having previously worked in local government and the private sector.  Following posts in Local Government Finance, Food and Fisheries policy, she became head of the Older People’s Care Unit in 2009 and specialised in dementia policy in 2015. Her policy responsibilities expanded to include Autism and Learning Disabilities in 2017.

Once the evidence reviews were completed, work packages turned their attention to identifying which best practices to test and in which healthcare settings and geographical locations.  More information will become available here as this work progresses.
